Julie’s Tallit

In the beginning Megan didn’t know what she wanted so I sent her the color card for Zephyr. She ended up choosing five colors–deep blue, light blue, magenta, lavender, and turquoise. Wow, I wasn’t at all sure this combination was going to work. But it was to be her tallit, not mine, so I set to work. The theme of her bat mitzvah essay was “Love, Courage, Trust” and she wanted these words embroidered on the atarah and the fringe twisted. A lot of work, but when it was finished I loved it, the colors are really spectacular. Unfortunately, in this photo the Hebrew letters are upside down, but you can get the idea. The silver against the dark blue is really lovely.
