Matzo Cover

Matzo and challah covers make thoughtful holiday and housewarming gifts. I can weave and then applique or embroider them, or enhance them with photographs or paint. This one I did when I was playing around with the Theo Moorman technique, a way of combining weaving with tapestry. Here I was imagining the River Jordon with the greens of Israel beyond. It didn’t turn out quite as I envisioned it, but I liked it and kept it for myself.
